Kathryn and Dimitri's Field Trip Part 3 (Right outside the house)

The houses here are very pretty. They all look the same though...I always wondered why they made houses on the same street look the same. If I had a house that looked the same as everyone else's, I would paint mine...turquoise. What color would you paint your house?

"Hmm..."
He paused and thought for a second.
"Either Turquoise, Seafoam, or a light and subtle green.
Why?"

I don't know...Just curious I guess. Let's go inside this abandoned one. I want to see what the inside looks like.

He walked up to the door and grabbed the lock,
he shook the nob and realized it was locked.
"One second..."
Dimitri pulled a two small pins out of his sleeve and stuck them both into the keyhole,
after a couple seconds there was a click and the door unlocked. he then turned the nob
and opened the door for her.

Why, thank you! That's a real talent you have there! I guess those things come natural, seeing as you are the blacksmith and people from all over the state just beg for you to come fix up their things. How did you become so established anyways?

"I was adopted my a metalwork artist when I was three,
from the time he adopted me he taught me about metalwork
of all kinds. After I moved out I continued to study the subject,
and the skill came with the study."
He shrugged and smiled at her.

Wow! I didn't know that about you! No wonder you're so good at metalwork and mechanics! Was the metalwork artist good to you? My sister was adopted...I remember the day we went to go get her. Where were you adopted from?

"Yes, Cody was very good to me.
He may look like a brute, but in truth he is a kind
and considerate man."
"I was adopted from...No-man's land... you probably know it as the war zone..."
Dimitri frowned for a second then looked back up a smiled.
But I'm not there anymore, that is what is important.

That's good. He taught you a lot of valuable things. Did he teach you your manners? Or did you learn them on your own?
The war-zone? That must have been pretty bad. I'm glad that you got out of that place.

"Ms. Romana taught me manners, Cody was a kind man, but he lacked manners.
The war zone? I barely remember it. I have read up on the subject since,
but little is known in the mountains about the outside world."
He smiled and looked at what would be the dining room of the house.

She did a nice job! I haven't heard much about the war-zone either, I just figure it must be bad if it has the word war in it. I think for out next place we should go to Haylie's Amazing Pets. It will be fun to look at all of the cute animals there, even if they don't like me.
Laughs a little

He chuckled a little bit and turned back to the door.
He made sure to lock the door behind him, so that besides
a few small scrapings on the door nob, there was no sign
that they had ever been there.
